Jordin Sparks won season 6 of American Idol! I was routing for her since the beginning. I was such a happy camper last night except for the fact that ABC was airing the season finale of Lost the same time as American Idol. What was with that??? I had to keep switching back and forth because I was at a friends house and I HAD to see the live version of Jordin getting crowned. There is an excitement knowing you are watching it at the same time with millions of other viewers. It’s not as exciting watching it on Tivo. lol  Besides I later found out that Tivo did not record the crowning of the American Idol winner because the show went over 2 hours long.  They could have cut Sanjaya’s performance if they were running into time issues!  Geez.  Those poor Tivo viewers who had to work will not be able to see it at all.

I can’t wait for the release of Jordin’s new single “This is My Now.” I don’t know the date yet but I will be one of the first to buy it! What will be her B-side song? Probably “I Who Have Nothing.”

I’m so excited that Jordin and Blake made it to the finals. I’m routing for Jordin though during the finale. Poor Melinda, I loved her but she had the older vote. She didn’t reach out enough to the younger generation who has the stamina to continuously vote for two hours on their cell phones. Idolstalker.com has their idea on how Melinda got eliminated. We all know this is not the end of the road for Melinda. She may be the “Daughtry” of this season and sell more records than Blake or Jordan.

Yes, I’m sad that Rosie is leaving The View. I may not have agreed with everything she said but I enjoyed how she provoked thoughtful conversation and I admired her for standing up for what she believes in. Honestly, I’ve never been so interested in what’s going on in the news before watching the show. I only started watching it when Rosie began hosting. They say Rosanne Barr may take her place. I wonder if the show can ever be as good (or controversial) without Rosie. I’ll give it a try I reckon.

Sanjaya is the number one searched person on the internet right now. A lot of people are venting about their anger towards his still being on American Idol. There are now websites like votesanjayaoff.com and a petition to get him kicked off. What do I have to say about all this? Lighten up people! It’s just TV. Good TV actually. American Idol has never had so many viewers tuning in before. I seriously doubt he will make it into the Top 3 anyways. If he does, Howard Stern and votefortheworst.com do not have enough followers to compete with the rest of America when it really gets narrowed down. So just calm down everybody and find the humor in all of this.

I was watching The View yesterday (as usual) and was so excited to see comedian Chelsea Handler being interviewed. I’m a huge fan of female comedians. I don’t know why but they make me laugh more than male comedians. Maybe it’s because I’m gay. So anyways, I thought she was really funny and I wanted to post the video for you guys.
