The Most Peaceful Song in the World

One of my favorite songs in the world is “Lovely” by Michelle Tumes.  It was recorded in 2000 and I still have not been able to find a song that is more peaceful sounding.   She is compared to Enya but I think she has more of an ethereal style and much more spiritual lyrics.  She never produced a video for this song but you can find it on youtube as the background music for many slideshow videos.   Take a listen to it by clicking on the player below.  I hope you enjoy it and that it brings you some peace during the week!

Hey, that song is a great find. It really is very relaxing. I’ve heard of other artists like you mentioned such as Enya, and this does compare somewhat.

Oh my god, I was once heard Michelle Tumes’s song about 5 years ago, and guessed what…The song I heard is this “Lovely” song! What a coincident!

Aw, what a beautifull voice!
I really like this singer, mainly because i am into the slow and nice songs, it makes me think about stuff and feel calm and relaxed.
I also really appreciate Enya - May it be.
A sad song in my opinion, but one of the good ones. :)
I haven’t heart this artist for years, thank you so much for sharing it!

Nice that more people have found Michelle Tumes, really awesome music. I have kept her “Listen” and “Center of my Universe” in the CD player for nearly 8 years now… that’s quality :) Wish she did more concert in Europe though.

I can see the comparison to Enya but this is far more relaxing, Enya is a bit more mixed and upbeat (generally).

This really is a lovely song. I really like the Jeff Buckley song hallelujah as well. Any song that relaxes you and is easy on the ears is good in my books :)

Just downloaded it. pretty “peaceful” though.. here is a good one, the Beijing Olymic Game’ song..also peaceful…lol

Ohh she is captivating. I agree with you. She is Enya-ish but much better. I wish she would have made a video for this song!

i really like enya. at the beginning of the song i thought it’s the same but when you listen a little bit longer to the song she develops her own style.
