It gives strong testimony that Gays can be Christians, too. Also, it contains the oft-ignored message that followers of Christ are called to love EVERYONE. The trickier part for me has been reviewing scripture and trying to determine the true meaning of the passages often used to marginalize people like you and I. What I've found impossible (so far) is finding a church in Birmingham, Alabama that welcomes gays and also teaches theologically sound Christian doctrine. Perhaps we can talk about this sometime..
