I was getting tired of my old blog layout so I decided to change it up to this one. It isn’t completely done yet though. I’m going to change some of the font colors so everything will match up more. The old theme had a lot of quirks and always shrunk pictures after I posted them. I’m glad this theme seems to be working well. I also downloaded Wordpress 2.3 yesterday and I’m happy to say that everything went well! It’s a nice change from 2.1. Just remember to backup everything before you upgrade just in case. Luckily I didn’t have to restore anything because the upgrade worked perfectly. Now I just have to figure out how to use this “tag cloud” option that came with 2.3.
Update: I spoke too soon. As soon as I posted this blog I got this error:
WordPress database error: [Table ‘databasename.wp_post2cat’ doesn’t exist]
SELECT cat_ID AS ID, MAX(post_modified) AS last_mod FROM `wp_posts` p LEFT JOIN `wp_post2cat` pc ON p.ID = pc.post_id LEFT JOIN `wp_categories` c ON pc.category_id = c.cat_ID WHERE post_status = 'publish' GROUP BY cat_ID
Luckily the entry was posted okay and readers aren’t seeing any problems. It’s still annoying for me to see that after posting each entry. I’m going to have to see how I can fix this. It looks like it’s a problem with the categories even though they seem to work fine. Anyone else run into this problem after upgrading?
2nd Update: I figured it out. Google Sitemaps does not work with 2.3. At least the version I am using. So I had to deactivate the plugin. Now everything seems to working perfectly. (crosses fingers)

Did you run upgrade.php after installing the new version? I got that same error, but mine went away after I ran it. (It upgrades your database.)
Yes I did. My blog looked really funny at first and had a whole bunch of database errors until I ran the upgrade thing. Maybe I need to do it again. lol
Like I said, it’s a nice new look. Your old page really slowed down my laptop (but, I came anyway). This one loads nice and fast
Now just make the comment form to english, and you are set.
Looks good mr, I love the layout
Thanks guys! I may change it up to a less dark theme. I’m still deciding.
Chris - Honestamente, a mi me gusta bien que el idioma pa’ la sección “Leave a comment” está en español. Pero: si lo cambies a návajo o japonés, vas a confundirme
I will try this when its available via fantastico of my host
I like this layout, and I would recommend keeping it. It loads rather quickly and looks really good.
