So I’ve run into several of these LOLsites, websites that have cute or funny pictures with hilarious captions. It all started with lolcats and has expanded to all kinds of topics. Here are a few that I have come across recently:
LOLcats - The origin of LOL pictures started with cute kitties. I can haz cheezburger?
LOLdogs - This is a LOL site that my friend makes about dogs.
LOLbots - Funny robots?
LOLgay - Gay pics with funny captions.
LOLjesus - Highly offensive material.
LOLcelebs - Celebrity pics with captions.
LOLpresident - Various presidents being LOL’d.

This reminds me of a range of greetings cards available here in the UK with 1940’s and 50’s pictures on and totally innappropriate captions beneath them. They sell well over here!

This meme is the funniest when animals are involved (I so love ICHC). The rest aren’t so funny. And you’re right about loljesus. Even this agnostic was offended by that.

LOL sites seem to be the craze nowadays. Recently, a friend of mine sold his blog about LOLcats for $100 just wiht 7 posts :O
I’d much rather stick to social netowkring sites like http:www.friendscyberclub.com as they tend to more profitable in the long run.
