Jordin Sparks won season 6 of American Idol! I was routing for her since the beginning. I was such a happy camper last night except for the fact that ABC was airing the season finale of Lost the same time as American Idol. What was with that??? I had to keep switching back and forth because I was at a friends house and I HAD to see the live version of Jordin getting crowned. There is an excitement knowing you are watching it at the same time with millions of other viewers. It’s not as exciting watching it on Tivo. lol Besides I later found out that Tivo did not record the crowning of the American Idol winner because the show went over 2 hours long. They could have cut Sanjaya’s performance if they were running into time issues! Geez. Those poor Tivo viewers who had to work will not be able to see it at all.
I can’t wait for the release of Jordin’s new single “This is My Now.” I don’t know the date yet but I will be one of the first to buy it! What will be her B-side song? Probably “I Who Have Nothing.”

Oh, Tall Freak…I am so happy for you and so, so sad for me. I try to be neutral over on Stalker but I almost cried my eyes out when Blake lost. Maybe, as a chick, I was wooed by his charm but I don’t think so. I think, with some vocal coaching and guidance, Jordin could be great. She needs to learn to move around more. Geez. There’s a whole stage - use it!!! Okay, it’s out of my system.
Sorry to hear that Jeanne. But don’t you think what happened last night is the best for both of them? Blake will do better without an AI contract I think. Jordin is going to be even more amazing in a few years but will have been probably forgotten if she didn’t win.
I was one of the poor souls who got jipped on TiVo….sigh…but at least Jordin won!
I just found out that Jordin’s song is now on iTunes with 4 other tracks!
