I figured this blog entry could answer some of the questions I’ve received in regards to my online name “tall freak.”
1. I’m 6′6″
2. No I didn’t play basketball in high school.
3. My family isn’t tall, but my uncle is.
4. My shoe size is 14.
5. I never shop at Big and Tall stores. I shop at normal places like everyone else.
6. The weather is actually a lot nicer up here.
7. Yes, my feet do hang off of the bed.
8. I drive a Honda Accord that is still kinda small for me at times.
9. All the dates I’ve had have been shorter than me.
10. Is the myth true about tall guys with big feet? Ask my boyfriend.

My feet hang off the end of the bed, and I’m only 5′3″. It’s ’cause I have a bazillion pullows, though
or pillows? @@ I should really proofread.
Interesting list - although the last one isn’t an answer, it’s a question ;-).
I’m 5′11″ and my feet hang on the bed when I sleep sideways.
Haha i’m only 6′1 and i’ve been taller than any girl ive ever dated.
Ahh .. a kindred spirit. I’m 6′6″ as well and get the basketball question all the time. I try to mix up my answers, like for short people I’ll say “No - were you on a midget tossing team?” or for fat people “No, are you an Olympic donut eater?”
Then those people don’t talk to me anymore. Just the way it should be.
I’m 6′7″
just thought come by to see my competition out…LOL
Hey dude, I’m on the other end. At 5′3 I’m shorter than most men in the blogosphere. And I’m sure y’all weren’t thinking this (I hope(, but no, I wasn’t on a midget-tossing team, I don’t have a pot o’ gold, and I don’t live with smurfs (I’ve never heard the first one actually). While I’m on the subject: my shoe size is 7 1/2 (big for my height I guess), and my family is not tall (still, no little people in our family, just SHORT ones). And everyone I’ve dated (all men) has been taller than I am.
And that thing about a man’s shoe size? All I’ll say is that my last boyfriend didn’t mind my “shoe size” at all
LOL
I’m 6′3, and I always like to stand behind short people at work, in the grocery store, or at the bar. It’s fun intimidating random people.
Size 14 shoes… *drools* LoL :-p
What a hoot. I’m 6′0″ and I get the basketball question all the time. I don’t want to think about the implications of a female “shoe size”…I wear a woman’s size 12. No complaints, though.
It comes in handy when working with people who respond to physical size, I’ve found. Like some of my gangbanger students. There’s at least one person who can intimidate me though, my 6′10″ brother. Every girl in town wants him, giving credence to the shoe size theory–although, gross, cuz it’s my brother!
I can’t say I’ve ever been intimidated by a tall person at all. In fact, y’all come in quite handy when I can’t reach something on a higher shelf!
I’m 5′10″ and always thought that i’d get taller as the years go by. It’s been about two years since i’ve grown. It’s kinda deppressing. Consider yourself lucky.
well you know what they say about guys with big feet…….
Big shoes!

I’m 6′1″ and I never thought that was particularly tall when I lived in the States. Since I moved to this side of the pond I find I’m taller than average. Particularly when I head south.
I wouldn’t consider you a “freak” - tall, yes… freak, debatable. I have a friend who is 6′4. He is considering being the Jolly Green Giant for Halloween.
Thanks Chad! tallhottie.com was taken so I went with “freak” j/k Jolly Green Giant is a great costume idea btw.
Hey, I’m 5′9
That’s pretty tall for your average chick.
WOW, 6′6″ , that’s real tall. I’m 5′9″ , You need to find a bigger bed, and bigger car for you
All Hail the 2M crew. OK, technically 6′6″ is what, 198cm, but saying 2M means so much to a Euro, like saying “fuck you” to a french man, they just get it. Another 6′6″er here. Love your blog.
Oh, and as far as height: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “everyone’s the same height on their backs.” I use it every time and it shuts those queens right the f’ up.
You have a boyfriend…?
are you gay???
Yes Becky, I am.
Haha…silly Becky. =P
I’m almost 5′2″ and I can’t reach anything in the kitchen or closet.
Should be HotFreak.com
I’m 6′5″ and wear size 15 shoes. Can you still shop for shoes at a regular store? I have to order my shoes online. People always talk about how they wish they could be tall. They don’t know what a pain in the ass it is.
Anyway, have a good one.
This is hilarious, especially the “The weather is actually a lot nicer up here.” And what the hell is up with that Becky person? Odd…Maybe she’s still holed up in the nearest church praying for you?
Yeah, that was bad…I apologize. Maybe.
Have to agree on the weather one
I’m 6′7″ and the scary thing is I HAVE dated someone taller than me. Was a lot of fun walking around town together, you get some weird looks (like the circus freaks are in town I suppose).
Well, it’s not very pleasant to be short either….
i’m only 5′6″, wishing i was a little taller. and yes, i’ve dated a taller girl 5′9″. now that felt weird, like i was her small brother or something!
I’m 6′1″. Pretty beastly for a girl, imo.
I had a tall friend when I was in the military we called him big bird cause of his feet.
Size 14 must be hard to come by! I have a bad enough time finding size 11 1/2 just because of the half size.
size 14, that must be hard to shop for. I’m average height. Hello up there!
Wow im 6′1 and i feel tall compared to most people. Still its mostly good to be tall (love it at concerts)
/C
I’m skeptical of course, but what the hell, let’s give it a try.
If you and your boyfriend were to adopt, would you choose a tall child?
I am 6′8″ and I totally know what you mean about how people just feel the need to ask you crazy questions all the time…family, b’ball, exact height etc. It really pisses me off. It’s not like people go up to short people and ask how tall they are, or a fat person and ask how heavy they are. When people ask me if I play B’ball, I ask them if they play mini golf.
I think you hit every question on the nose! But if you didn’t play basketball, you could have played other sports where height would have been an advantage (football, volleyball, etc.).
